Locally we have a housing shortage and no plan to address it.  Nationally we have a mountain of debt, that we add to every day.  Borrowing money to pay the interest on money we already owe.

 To their credit, the owners of the Pizza shop were determined to be good neighbours and had already agreed to only serve alcohol until 11.00pm and only when served with food.

The Tory run County Council has announced it will no longer fund the extra activities offered by Community School in 3 years time.  A 100% cut.

Basiucally all the money the borough spent on subsidising travel is now going to the County Council (£2.3m). Toxic Tories</title><summary type='text'>In Thursday's Council meeting a Lib Dem motion to get Basingstoke generating its own green energy was blocked by the Tories. 

It was not a party political motion, just a sensible one. We simply wanted the Council to look at every building they own, every strip of land, post, pillar and piece of equipment to see which ones could be used to either save energy or generate energy.

If you're from and average family you threw away £420 of food. Between us in the UK we threw away a staggering £10.2bn worth of food - That's equal to the Home Office budget for a year or enough to run the NHS for just over a month.
