The end of an error?

For far too long Rupert Murdoch has had the ear of every Prime Minister, red and blue alike.  It was a great error for a man not even entitled to vote in this country to hold more power than those who can.

Today he said sorry.  He took out adverts in newspapers to say sorry.  He knows that for all his contacts, his British interests are dependant on our Sky subscriptions and newspaper purchases.  The massive advertising revenue News International generates would disappear overnight if we all said  "sod it, no more Sun, Times or Sky TV".

He needs us, the people more than we need him.  So he needs to convince the British public that he is a very sorry person.

But how sorry is he really?

Imagine you own your own TV channels, even better your own 24 hour News channel.  Imagine how sorry you could show yourself to be.

For Rupert Murdoch, no imagination needed.  He has his own News Channel - Fox news.  Believe it or not their take on the story is - the News of the World are just like the other victims of hacking like the Pentagon and Citi-bank and American Express.  Missing the fact that News of the World was actually responsible for hacking.

The presenter and his 'expert' dismiss the story as old and irrelevant and not newsworthy suggesting there are far more important things to worry about.

So yep, it appears Mr Murdoch is really sorry..... in the UK only

You can watch it HERE, but I warn you Fox is not the BBC and may make you feel sick
